Istoria - founded on Sept 26, 2024!

Creative writing is one of the least rigid departments possible. It doesn’t have precise logic like math, specific rules like speech competitions, and the superiority of one work over the other is ultimately subjective, hence the sometimes unfair judging in competitions. It’s the most loose, unpredictable, and immeasurable fields to ever exist.

Yet it remains vitally important to master this field, because only a storyteller could wring out the hearts of the crowd. Only a storyteller could ignite passion in a mountain of passionless essays. Only a storyteller could destroy reality itself and replace it with a world so amazing that its only limit is imagination. Only a storyteller can look past the story of society and find the deeper meaning within themselves.

That’s why ISTORIA aims to improve our writing prowess. Our dozens of members have practiced storytelling, writing techniques, literature analysis, and more, to sharpen not only our ability on the keyboard, but our minds as well.

On the first semester of ISTORIA’s creation, great progress has been made. We have just about completed our own story collection, cumulating up to fifty pages of content. Every one of us has learned something new. By the end of the semester, ISTORIA has not only made us better storytellers than ever before, but far more poised than before to rise to new heights.
